Event Description
This is the inaugural race for the PTSD Awareness 5K. June is PTSD Awareness month, and what better way to raise awareness than through a 5K. Come show your support by honoring those that have lost the battle to PTSD, those who are currently battling and those who have survived the battle. Through perseverance, tenacity, support and determination we can overcome PTSD. Proceeds from this event will go to assist law enforcement and emergency services personnel in obtaining mental health services and education related to PTSD.
Race Location will be at Rio Vista Community Park, North of Thunderbird Road and 1/4 mile West of the Loop 101 Agua Fria freeway.
Participants will receive
- a participant t-shirt
- a finisher limited edition challenge coin
- on-course and post-race refreshments
- goody bag
Prize to the top male and female finisher.
Must register by May 29th to guarantee t-shirt availability and size.
