EVENT DETAILS - The Canonsburg Chamber’s 1st Annual 5K Bunny Run and Family Easter Walk starts at the Canonsburg Hospital and ends at Sarris Candies in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. Everyone who signs up for the event will receive a tee shirt; prizes for winning runners include 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in all age groups, male and female. Event announcers: A. J. Williams, Chamber President and David Rhome, Canonsburg Mayor. Vendors on site. Sponsors include (but not limited to): Planet Fitness (Washington, PA) and AHN Network (Canonsburg Hospital, Canonsburg, PA).

PURPOSE - The purpose of the Canonsburg Chamber 5K Bunny Run & Family Easter Walk is to promote a healthy and active lifestyle, provide education on preventative diseases as well as open up marketing and shopping opportunities for those businesses who are members and represent the Canonsburg Chamber  of Commerce in all of the areas we serve (Canonsburg, Cecil Township, Chartiers Township, Houston, Mt. Pleasant Township & North Strabane Township).

PROCEEDS - Proceeds from the event will help organize the second annual 5k Bunny Run and Family Easter Walk, as well as promote and spotlight Canonsburg Chamber members in the areas we serve. We plan to utilize various marketing opportunities (newsprint, radio advertising, local TV, networking events etc.) and also work to attract prospective new members in order to grow the GCCC Chamber’s present membership base. The Canonsburg Chamber just released its first online member directory, and hopes to print and distribute it locally to businesses and chamber members in the future.

The Canonsburg Chamber’s aim is to keep its members healthy, free of disease so they can live longer, healthier lives, as well as to spotlight their businesses every day (every month, every year)!. Proceeds from this event will allow us to do just that!
