Event Description
ONLY THE FIRST 100 REGISTRANTS WILL GET A HAT. EVERYONE WILL GET A TASTING GLASS AND ALL THE TASTINGS THEY WANT.
THE EVENTS:
5k Run: No beer, all run. This will be the first wave that starts right at 10:00am. Run past all the beer stations and get to the finish line without stopping! Don't worry, you're race entry still gets you into the after party if you are over 21!
Beer Run: Same course of 5k Run. This will be run in 2 waves! Starting with an "Elite Wave" at 10:05am. At each station the breweries logo on the bib will be marked off.
1. When the gun goes off, you'll drink your first 4 ounce pour of beer from Yellowstone Valley Brewing and then start running.
2. The second beer station will be at about 1km, enjoy your second pour of beer from High Plains.
3. Just after 2km, you'll enjoy a taste at the Canyon Creek brewing pitstop.
4. Montana Brewing Company will be at the 3k mark, and the only out-and-back section of the course.
5/6. In the Thirsty Street Brewing parking lot, you will enjoy beers from both Thirsty Street Brewing Company and Angry Hanks.
7/8. You will have two more stops along Montana Ave: Carter's and then Uberbrew.
9. Upon crossing the finish line, rehydrate with a full pint from Red Lodge Ales/The Cider Mill as the rest of the breweries arrive to the finish area and get setup to start serving.
Packet Pickup: Will be on Friday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at TO BE DETERMINED. You can also pick up your packet on race morning near the starting line from 8:30am until 9:45am. BRING YOUR ID. YOU WILL BE GIVEN A WRISTBAND THAT CANNOT BE REMOVED UNTIL AFTER THE EVENT.
The 5k Run will have Top 3 Overall Awards only. The Beer Run will have overall awards and 3 age groups: 21-39, 40-59, 60+.
Costume Contest: There will also be a costume contest! Come in your best beer themed costume for a chance to win a prize! (Hops, beer mug, favorite beer flavor, etc)!
Family and friends and anyone else can purchase a "ticket" into the after party/brew fest (this is included in the price of the 5k and Beer Run). There will be live music, food trucks and beer! It truly will be the best beer run you ever went on!
