Event Description
Don your kilt, lace up your sneakers, and bring the whole family! With fun for adults and children alike, the 2nd annual Highlander Hustle Kilt Walk/Run is the perfect way to kick off Father’s Day weekend.
Snag some quality time with Dad and train together for the 5K with a chance to win a cash prize! Compete together with Dad in our Father/Child 3-Legged Race! Or, simply come out and enjoy a walk together on our course at beautiful Corwin Nixon Park in Mason.
This family-friendly 5K will also feature a Kids Fun Run and 100-yard dash, along with a kids play zone!
The official, measured 5K course will start and finish at Corwin Nixon Park. Participants will be timed with built-in chip bibs. The course is flat with minimal elevation on a concrete bike path—the perfect course to set your personal best!
WEARING A KILT IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED, AND A PRIZE WILL BE AWARDED FOR THE BEST DRESSED IN A KILT!

All participants registered by Monday, June 3 are guaranteed an official race bag!
7:30 – 8:30 a.m. Packet pick-up and onsite registration (cash or check only)
8:30 a.m. Kids Fun Run (12 and under) & 100-Yard Dash (5 and under)
9:00 a.m. 5K Walk/Run
An award ceremony will commence immediately following the 5K:
· The top male and female overall finishers will receive cash prizes!
· All age group winners will receive medals.
· All registered Kids Fun Run and Kids 100-Yard Dash participants will receive a participation ribbon.

Mars Hill Academy is an independent, non-profit, classical and Christian school that has been serving families of the greater Cincinnati area since 1996. When does the event take place?
This year’s 5K Kilt Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, June 15. Kids Fun Run and Kids 100-Yard Dash start at 8:30 a.m., and Individual 5K Walk/Run starts at 9:00 am.
What is a kilt run?
A kilt run is exactly what you think it is – a race where participants wear kilts!
Do I have to wear a kilt to participant?
Absolutely not. Kilts are highly encouraged, and a prize will be awarded for best dressed in kilt! Wearing a kilt is completely optional.
Can I register the day of the event?
Absolutely! Walk-ups are welcome! Registration and packet pick-up will begin at 7:30 am and will close at 8:30 am.
What methods of payments are accepted?
Credit card payments are accepted with online registrations. Onsite (race day) registration payments are accepted by cash or check only.
What are the age divisions for the various events?
Kids 100-yard dash: 5 and under
Kids Fun Run: 12 and under
5K Fun Run/Walk: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
