Event Description

Jaceys Race is a community event specifically to help local families with children currently being treated for cancer or other life threatening illness. Jaceys Race is a timed 5K running race for persons of all ages, with medals for the top three competitors of various age groups, and cash prizes to the overall male and female winners ($200/$150/$100). There will also be a 1K walk/ fun run for children and parents that will not be timed. At the end of the race there will be tents set up with food and water,  and sno-cones. We will have a water slide, dunk tank,  and face painting. Jaceys Race is free for children 12 and under! The race is staffed entirely by non paid volunteers. Via sponsorship and race entry fees, money will be raised to go primarily to families of children with cancer or life threatening illness.

Event details and schedule

Packet  pick-up (bib, timing chip, tee shirt, water bottle) will  be available on Saturday, 7/13/18 at Sandpoint High School from 4-5:30 PM.  Last minute race registration will be available Saturday, 7/13/18 at Sandpoint High School from 4-5:30 PM at the regular pre race-day prices, and also on Sunday, 7/14/18 for On-Site Same-Day Registration (adult prices are increased by $5 on Same-Day Registrations).  If you pick up your packet on Saturday 7/13/18 and forget your timing bib/chip on Sunday, there will be an additional fee of $5.00 to replace it!

1K Run/Walk: 9:15 AM

5K Awards, Drawings and Introduction of Child beneficiaries 9:45 AM

Expo and Silent Auction open at 7:30-10:30 AM

Gymnastics demonstration: 10:00 AM
