A1C Losano, the namesake of the Laughlin AFB Fitness Center, was more than just a location. He was a tactical air command and control specialist with the 14th Air Support Squadron based at Pope Air Force Base in North Carolina, died a hero April 25, 2003, during a firefight with enemy troops in eastern Afghanistan. He grew up in Del Rio, Texas. Because this run occurs just two weeks following the day anniversary of his death, the Red Devils are partnering with the rest of the 47th FTW with placing an emphasis on the effects of combat operations, battlefield airman, and the rich heritage of Laughlin AFB.
Air Warrior Courage Foundation
The mission of the AWCF:

We focus on active duty, guard, reserve and retired military personnel and their families needing financial assistance for medical, educational, and other extraordinary expenses not covered by other military, veterans’, or charitable institutions."
BREAKFAST AND T-SHIRT provided with registration!
