Event Description

The Run4Water is our biggest event of the year and we can't wait to see you! Our goal is to match the 40 wells funded last year. One well costs $6,000 to one rural Ugandan village and serves 1,000. Invite friends, family and co-workers and spread the word!

Start your fundraising today, every dollar makes a difference! Log in, share your story, start fundraising!

The Why and The Who

We believe clean drinking water is a basic human right for all people. We view the lack of water as the taproot of poverty in the developing world. By providing water to communities, we have seen a measurable step towards sustainable living, a decrease in water-borne illness, a 50% decrease in infant mortality, and the opportunity of schooling for children, especially girls and women.

Equally important is the opportunity for our local families to draw closer together through service. Being of service increases our empathy, humanity and appreciation for the gifts we have daily. Everyone has an opportunity to make a difference, to use their time, talent and treasures to save lives; and inspire their peers. Partnering with schools, churches, businesses & families allows everyone to play a part and promotes teamwork. This strengthens community and family bonding; and everyone becomes a champion of change!

When our local communities and school children place a “well of life” in a community in Uganda, they’re able to see photos of the villagers they are serving. There will be a dedication plaque placed at the well with the donor's name and message. And the people of Uganda are able to see that their lives matter! Giving the gift of clean water is the most measurable act of love and service anyone can provide.

We are a group of dedicated individuals committed to bringing clean, safe water to one million people in Uganda. And, we especially agree with Mother Teresa who said, “If you can’t save 100 children, save one.” We believe every life counts and we'll be an inspiration for others to take care of the remainder of the large number of people in need.
