Event Description

WAKE... RUN.... FEAST!  Join us for the 6th annual University City Turkey Trot. This race is a timed 5K run/walk on Thanksgiving Day in University City. Come out and join fellow runners and walkers or cheer them on for this awesome community race at 3024 Prosperity Church Road in Charlotte for all of University City to enjoy! After the race, cool down and enjoy a post-race mini-feast featuring food, drinks, games, and music! Every person registered for the 5K race, will be entered to win a pair of Apple AirPods Pro. Don't worry, you don't have to be present to win. Our turkey will find the two (2) lucky winners!

Our turkey tee is always a popular item. To guarantee you receive a tee shirt, please register for the race by 11/08/2019.

The University City Turkey Trot features a dedicated one-mile fun run (for all ages) and costumes are encouraged for all those young at heart! Prizes will be awarded to the top three costumes. In addition, prizes are awarded to the top three finishers in each age category. Participants are encouraged to take part in our annual food drive by bringing a non-perishable item to support those who are less fortunate in our community. Participation in this event supports Sickle Cell Partners of the Carolinas, a non-profit established in 2009 to raise awareness about sickle cell disease, an inherited illness.
