Event Description
Join us for a family-friendly run/walk to support organizations that help BRIDGE THE GAP for individuals with special needs as they transition out of the school system and into adult services. All of the proceeds from this event will go directly to one of the three groups: The Exceptional Foundation of Atlanta, Friends U Need Club, Inc. or The YALLS Group of Special Needs School.
Each organization offers day program services in a safe and supported environment where adults with developmental disabilities have opportunities for socialization, recreation and community service. The success of each program is dependent on financial support to help cover the daily tuition fees of the participants we serve. The more money we raise, the more participants we can serve at an affordable cost.
Please help us BRIDGE THE GAP for all adults with developmental disabilities as they transition into adulthood and the need for lifelong services. With your support, we can expand our programs to serve more adults with special needs in our community!
***BRIDGE THE GAP 5K will be a Peachtree Road Race Qualifying Event***
Early Race Packet Pick Up:
Friday, October 18th 3:00-7:00PM at Big Peach Running Co. in Suwanee Town Center. You will also receive a 15% discount off an in-store purchase of $50 or more.
RACE DAY SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: October 19th
- 8AM - Race Day Registration & Packet Pick Up
- 9AM - 5K Start
- Awards to follow 5K! (approx. 10AM)
AWARDS
Medals given to top overall male & female finishers. Also medals for the top 3 finishers in the following age groups for male & female: 10 & under, 11-15, 16-20, 21-25, 26-30, 31-35, 36-40, 41-45, 46-50, 51-55, 56-60, 61-65, 66 & over.
