Event Description
The Day of the Dead 5K supports the youth program at St. Mary and St. Martha of Bethany Episcopal Church in Buford, Georgia. Proceeds will go towards pilgrimages, retreats, and other Christian educational activities.
Please feel free to dress in your best Day of the Dead themed costume. Along with race time awards, there will be prizes for best costumes. Please keep costumes tasteful as this is a family friendly event.
Parish Youth Designed Event T-shirts - guaranteed to all runners registered before October 16th, 2019
Awards:
- Medals awarded for the top 2 Male and Female in the following age groups: 12 & under, 13-18, 19-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, 65-74, 75 & over.
- Best Costume Awards for the following: 12 & under, 13-18, 19-29, 30-49, 50 & over
- Special award for the Fastest and Slowest Priest
Race Route:
Race begins at 9:00 PM at St. Mary and St. Martha Episcopal Church and continues down Ridge Road and into beautiful Morgan's Crossing Subdivision. After leaving Morgan's Crossing the race will continue down Ridge Road to return to the church.
