Event Description

Freedom Farm Animal Sanctuary is pleased to announce our 4th annual Get Your Tails on the Trail 5K will be held on May 25, 2019 at 10:00 am at Fontanel Nashville! 

The registration fee includes a special 20th anniversary finishers medal/bottle opener, post race snack, swag for your cat or dog, and professional timing.  You MUST REGISTER BEFORE May 4, 2019 to BE GUARANTEED a finishers medal.

Online registration closes at 5:00 pm CDST on Friday, May 24, 2019.

On-site registration at Fontanel Nashville will begin at 9:00am on May 25, 2019.

Event specific baseball Ts, T-shirts, hoodies, and tank tops may be purchased through our Bonfire campaign at https://www.bonfire.com/freedom-farm-animal-sanctuary/.  

100 percent of the proceeds from this event go directly towards saving cats and dogs in Middle Tennessee.  Freedom Farm is a no kill rescue which pulls many cats and dogs from high kill shelters.  Freedom Farm frequently rescues older cats and dogs often with moderate to severe medical needs.  Freedom Farm believes all animals deserve a second chance at life!

The 5K course mixes flat paved trails with winding off-road trails and changing elevations.  The 5K course is open to individual runners as well as those running or walking with their four legged friends.

If you or your pet prefer a shorter stroll, choose the 1 Mile course.  The 1 Mile course is entirely on the paved portion of the course and has minimal elevation changes.  Strollers and wagons are welcome on the 1 Mile course.  Because the 5K trail is off-road and has narrow spaces throughout, traditional strollers may have difficulty.

The Mansion at Fontanel is the 33,000 square foot crown jewel of what has become a must see attraction when visiting Nashville.  In addition to the Mansion, located on site are the Whites Creek Bistro, Cafe Fontanella, Natchez Hills Winery Tasting Room, Stone House Shoppe and Box Office, Prichard's Distillery, Music City Ziplines, and the Carl Black Chevy Woods Amphitheater.  Please check fontanel.com for additional details and operating hours.

A course map will be posted soon.  The course will have clearly identifiable markings at each mile, and at the turn around point.

Parking

Parking is available on-site at no cost.

Post Race

Post-race refreshment and a snack will be provided.

Several of the attractions at Fontanel, including the Whites Creek Bistro will be open for business at the conclusion of the race.
