Event Description

DATE:  Thursday, June 13th, 2019

LOCATION:  McIntyre Ski Area, Manchester, NH

START TIME:  6:20 p.m.

Total Image Running, CGI Business Solutions and the Mental Health of Greater Manchester are joining forces for this year’s Run Walk for Mental Health 5K!  The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester is a private, nonprofit community mental wellness center, which means we are uniquely able to provide the services and programs you need. We have access to diverse treatment options and facilities, and our highly-trained staff deliver individualized and compassionate care.  Since 1960, they have served children, teens, adults and seniors from the greater Manchester area, providing help and treatment regardless of age, diagnosis or ability to pay. This event is the only run walk for mental health in the State of New Hampshire.  $10 from your registration will be donated to the Mental Health Center.

Mental illness is more common than most people realize.

• Five of the top 10 illnesses that contribute to disability or premature death are mental illnesses.
• Mental illness affects 1 in 5 people at any point throughout their lifetime.
• Depression is the most prevalent form of mental illness and is expected to become the second most disabling illness by 2020.

This is the first race of the Greater Manchester Race Series which is timed and organized by Total Image Running. Complete 3 of the 4 races and earn your 2019 series hoodie.  Complete all 4 races in the series and also earn a series medal.

Preregister by May 19th to receive an event t-shirt.

CHIP TIMING/ FINISH LINE PHOTOS / RESULTS
Runners will be chipped timed by Total Image Running.  Chip will be adhered to the back of your bib.  We recommend you wear the bib pinned to the front of your shirt for the most accurate results.   Finish line photos will be available for free!  Don't forget to look up and smile as you cross the finish.  Results will be posted as quickly as possible.  If you provided us with your email address and cell number than your results will be emailed and/or texted to you.

POST RACE FIESTA ACTIVITIES:

Break out your brightest apparel for Lite up the Nite, as a show of support for community mental wellness!  After the race join us at our neon fiesta party and quench your thirst with a complimentary "MAC-arita", McIntyre's signature margarita (21+).  Tickets for McIntyre's Taco bar will be available for purchase during bib pick up and during the post race party.  

START A FUNDRAISING TEAM!    

PRIZES FOR TOP FUNDRAISERS!!!     

Tickets to an event in a SNHU Arena Luxury Suite.  (Event TBD)  

Two RED SOX tickets. (Game TBD) 

EXTRA beer tickets for the post-race party

100% of your fundraising efforts will benefit the Mental Health Center. 

TEAM REGISTRATION/AWARDS:
Registering as a team is a fun way to participate!  Dress in the spirit of the race or choose your own theme. To register as a team, simply check "Yes" to Would you like to join a Group/Team?   All participants will be timed but collaborative team scores will not be calculated. THIS IS A FUN COMPETITION!

An extra beer ticket will be given to the following teams in the categories of:

• Most Creative Individual & Team  
• Most Creative Team Name 
• The Largest Team 

INDIVIDUAL RACE AWARDS:

Awards to the top three male/female finishers and top three finishers in each age group.  Age group are 19 and under, 20 - 29, 30 - 39, 40 - 49, 50 - 59, 60 - 69, 70+.  Must be present to receive your awards in both individual races and series. Prizes, awards and gear will not be mailed. Contact Total Image Running for arrangements to pick up.  

BIB PICKUP:

• DAY BEFORE EVENT:  Early Bib Pick-Up.  Location and time to be announced soon.
• DAY OF EVENT:  Bib Pick-Up on event day- 5 p.m. at McIntyre Ski Area. 

REGISTRATION FEES:
5K Adults:  $30

5K Youth (17 and under):  $25

PARKING:

This is plenty of parking right at McIntyre Ski Area.

WEATHER/REFUNDS:
This event will take place rain or shine.  Sorry, no refunds will be issued from registrations. All proceeds will be used to help provide needed mental healthcare services in the community. Thank you for your support!
