Event Description

This is the 9th Annual South Portland Food Cupboard and St. Maximilian Kolbe 5K Road Race and Free Kids Fun Run.  Proceeds benefit the South Portland Food Cupboard.  Over the years, this race has raised thousands of dollars for the Food Cupboard which feeds hundreds of families in South Portland and Scarborough.  The race is on Friday August 23, 2019 and starts at 6pm at St Maximilian Kolbe church located at 150 Black Point Rd in Scarborough Maine.  Kids fun run starts at 5:30pm.  Pizza, hot dogs, pasta salad, homemade desserts and beverages are served to runners after the race. Award Categories: Overall winners, age group, and Teams (4 or more people).  $50 LL Bean gift cards to the First Place Male and Female. $25 El Rayo gift cards to the Second Place Male and Female.  Pre-Registration is $15 (no shirt), $20 (with shirt), $20 day of race (no shirt).  T-shirt deadline is August 16, 2019.  The race is organized completely by the volunteer efforts of the St. Max Knights of Columbus and family members.
