Event Description

Join us on October 20th for the 3rd Annual Moving For Mason 5K to help the fight against SIDS and SUDC!  The race is a one-of-a-kind family friendly walk/run along the banks for the Clinch River in beautiful Norris, TN.  All fitness levels welcome.  Prizes will be awarded for the best time in each age class.  Register before October 7th for a long sleeve t-shirt and discounted fee of $35 for adults (15+) and $15 for kids (ages 5 -15).  Under 5 are free.  Halloween costumes are welcomed:)

If live outside of Knoxville and can't join in person, we will be adding a virtual option this year.  Pricing is the same, plus $5 for t-shirt shipping.  Only adult pricing over 15 years old available.  Registration for the Virtual Race ends 10/7/2019.

MAW’s Cause was founded in 2017 in Knoxville, TN by Brittanie and Ben Weaver.  After the death of their 4 months old son, Mason Archer Weaver, to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), The Weaver’s made it their life mission to help prevent other parents from facing this life-changing tradegy. In 2018, MAW;s Cause became a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the fight against SIDS and SUDC by building community awareness, educating parents/caregivers and supporting leading research efforts.  Over 4000 infants age newborn to one years old die each year from SIDS, with 7-12 in Knox County alone.   MAW’s Cause strives to intersect new parents in the community with our newborn Sleep Sack program at local hospitals, as well as raise money for continued research.
