Event Description

This is the perfect event for an avid runner, someone participating in their first 5K, or a family wanting to get some exercise and support a worthy cause.  Plus, race start isn't until 4pm.  The Great Cake Race 5K/1M will feature a beautiful new course along the rolling hills of Keeneland, bands, inflatables, and much more.  We will be giving awards to the fastest male and female of each age in the 11 and under age group, plus special awards in canine and stroller divisions.  A trophy will be given to the team with the most participants, so grab your friends, family, co-workers, book club, life group, you name it, and come on out to The Great Cake Race 5K/1M at Keeneland's Keene Barn (Entertainment Center) on May 5th. 

Once they cross the finish line, participants will be treated to a free cupcake.  Spectators may purchase a bracelet entitling them to a cupcake.

• The 5K will include chip timing by Good Times Event Services.
• Age group and overall awards will be given. 
• We will give a  traveling trophy to the team with the most participants. Awards will be given to largest teams in each division.
• Dogs are welcome as long as they are kept on a leash.  A special award will be given for the fastest canine. 
• Feel free to bring along a stroller for your little one.  We will have a special award in the stroller division.

Register by April 15, 2019 to be guaranteed a free t-shirt.

Early packet pick-up will be announced closer to the event date.

The event will not be called or delayed for rain.  In the event of thunder, lightning, hail or other such inclement weather, the decision to call or delay the event will made at 4pm, Sunday, May 5th 2019 at Keeneland. In the event of event cancellation, please consider your entry fee a donation that will support the mission of Sweet Blessings, as refunds will not be given.
