Event Description

Rascal's Run 5K/Walk/Dog Walk on September 7, 2019 benefits the Animal Adoption Center (AAC), South Jersey’s non-profit, no-kill animal shelter in Lindenwold. The Animal Adoption Center provides temporary shelter and medical care to unwanted companion animals in a no-kill environment. We shelter, nurture, and support rescued animals until they find their forever homes, which over 700 of them did in 2018. The AAC also educates the community regarding the importance of spay/neuter programs, veterinary care, appropriate socialization and the promotion of thoughtful and healthy relationships between pet owners and their animals. What “no-kill “ means for AAC is that we accept no contracts with animal control, and, therefore, we never have to euthanize because we run out of room. We euthanize only if an animal is physically ill, in pain, with no hope of recovery, and at the advice of a vet. Since we receive no government funding, we exist solely on donations.
