Event Description

A gorgeous trail run in the tranquil Lake Region of Wisconsin's Northwoods.  Hosted by The Conserve School and directed by Great Lakes Endurance this race presents a perfect symbiosis of beauty, ecological mindfulness and trail running.  The course includes abundant single track, traveling along the shores of seven different inland lakes.  Wide grassy cross country ski trail composes the remainder of this beautiful half marathon course.   Nationally recognized as an environmentally focused private academy, the Conserve School provides its students with a world class curriculum with the goal of preparing the next generation of environmental leaders. The school also features over 20 kilometers of cross country ski trails and 8 kilometers of elegant single track, nearly all of which are included in the half mararthon course. The school also has a large photovoltaic array, a “Green Machine” wastewater treatment facility, and a community organic garden.
