Event Description

Get your heart rate up, burn some calories and contribute to Feedmore's Central Virginia Food Bank, Shalom Farms and local feeding ministries, with the Turkey Waddle 5K and 1.6K run/walk route (all routes and age groups race begin at the same time - 9:00a.m. sharp). Please note that the 5k route has some trail and 2 sets of stairs by Salisbury Lake.

Low key family friendly 5k run/walk with a 1.6k (Grandparents and stroller friendly) walking route.  This will be a clock timed event.  Did we mention "low key" event so don't expect race numbers, timing chips, etc...  We are here to have fun and raise money and food for those less fortunate. 

Entry Fee: $10 for Adults, and $5 for kids and please bring a Canned Good or two to be donated. All proceeds go directly to the Feedmore's Central Virginia Food Bank, Shalom Farms and local feeding ministries.  

Course: Mostly flat course that begins and ends at the Church on Salisbury Road and traverses the Salisbury neighborhood. The course will take you by scenic Lake Salisbury (beware of the spillway and stairs - if wet this can be a little more challenging) and will be a mix of mostly road, with a little ‘single track’ and grass sprinkled in for fun. There will be a 1.6k walking route that is ideal for strollers. To view the course map  Click here.
