May is Mental Health Awareness Month. One in four adults is affected by a mental illness in their lifetime. MyMichigan Medical Center Sault (formerly War Memorial Hospital) is hosting its eighth annual Mental Health Mile and 5K to raise awareness and support  for people living with mental illness in our community. The 5k will take place on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 2:00pm at War Memorial Hospital's main campus. Registration will begin at 1:30pm. The 5K is $25 prior to 5/20/2022 (Includes t-shirt). The cost will increase to $30 after 5/20/2022 (T-shirt not guaranteed). The one mile walk to raise awareness is: FREE. Please search this event on Facebook for more updates closer to the event. Participants are encouraged to dress up and wear the color green to show support for Mental Health Awareness. Prizes will be awarded for a variety of categories. Strollers and friendly dogs one leashes are permitted at this event.
