Event Description

We invite you to participate in the 1st Annual Madison Gospel 5K on Saturday, July 20, 2019.

The mission of the Madison Gospel 5K Run/Walk is to unite the Madison community in exercising our faith, fellowship, and building a healthier city through the promotion of healthy lifestyles in all its aspects. All proceeds will go towards creating programs and initiatives aimed at improving the health of Madison residents, particularly people of color with historical barriers to healthcare access.

The theme for this year’s event is “Renewing Minds, Transforming Families.” The event includes a kid's run, 1 mile run/walk and a timed 5K run/walk. There will also be a concurrent health fair held at Penn Park that will focus on various aspects of health and wellness. We invite walkers, runners, joggers, and rollers (baby strollers and wheelchairs) of all ages to come out and participate. Even if you can’t join in the race, come support a great cause and have a good time doing so!

Participants will receive a goodie bag, short-sleeve t-shirt, and an awesome finisher medal.

Packet pick up will be on Friday, July 19th and Saturday, July 20th. The time and place will be determined. Please make arrangements to pick up your packet. If you are unable to pick up your packet, you can have someone else pick up your packet. They will need to provide us with a copy of your ID.
