Start your 4th of July off with a BANG !!! Come join us for this one of a kind, scenic 5K run on the Runway of Marine Corps Base Hawaii. This family friendly event will start and finish between Hangars 104 and 105 and will consist of one lap around the runway, offering amazing views of the Ko'olau Mountains and Kaneohe Bay. The race is open to the general public!
All civilians (Non-DoD) MUST register by June 19th at 11:59 p.m.
Due to the large number of participants no bikes or scooters are allowed on the race course. Strollers are allowed.
Entry fees: $25 per person through June 22. A fee of $10 per person will be added to all registrations received after Monday, 22 June 2019. T-shirts are not guaranteed if registered after June 22. Registrations are non-refundable.
Awards will be given to:
- Top three finishers overall (Male and Female)
- Top three finishers in specific age division (Male and Female) 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-59, 60 and above.
- Best Solo/pair Patriotic costume
- Best Group Patriotic costume (3 or more in group)

Event details and schedule
Packet Pick-up: Civilians, Active Duty Military, Dependants, Retirees and DoD employees may pick up their packet on Tuesday, 2 July at the Front Gate pass house parking lot of MCBH between 1:00pm and 6:00pm. Special event base access passes will be distributed at packet pickup if needed. Active Duty Military, Dependants, Retirees and DoD employees may pick up their packet on Wednesday, 3 July at the Semper Fit Center (Bldg 3037) from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Packets may also be picked up the morning of the race at the race site.
Eligibility: Runners, walkers and strollers. Strollers will line up in the back of the starting group. No bikes/scooters/rollerblades/skateboards/etc will be allowed on the course.
Awards: Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in specific age divisions (14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-50, 50-59, 60 and above) and the top three male and female finishers overall. Also this we will be giving an award for the best solo/pair and group patriotic costume (3 or more in group).
Registering after online registration closes: Once online registration closes, participants who hold proper base ID access may still register at the front desk of the Semper Fit Center or at the race location the morning of the event. All civilian (Non DoD) must register by June 19 at 11:59 p.m. Registration on race day will be $35, payment with cash or check, and participants are not guaranteed a T-shirt.
Registrations are non-refundable.
