Event Description

Come support the Santa Maria Valley Open Space and join the community in the first Central Coast Mountain Bike Series event hosted on Orcutt Hill, at Orcutt Community Park. This two day event will have something for every rider and ability. Saturday will consist of a kids and adult Enduro race, with a childrens parade race following the Enduro. Sunday is a kids and adult Cross Country race. 

Join the race and bring your friends and family to share in the experience!!! This is sure to be a great family friendly race in the beautiful Orcutt Community.

Saturday, May 25th 2019

Kids Enduro ($25 entry) 1 stage
     * Children 12 and under (your child will need to be capable of making a 1.5 mile climb and a 1.2 mile Enduro stage UNASSITED).
     * Children will leave for start of first stage at 10:30 am with all Enduro racers, adult assistance during transfer is permited.
     * Children will follow the same marked course as adults for stage 1, child be required to race solo.
     * We will be providing course marshals along the course for safety and will have entire kids race spotted (please write emergency contact info on rear of number plate).
     * Children will need a guardian at the finish line when race starts.
     * Children will follow same race format as adults, but only completing Stage 1.

Enduro ($50 Entry) 4 stages
     * Men and Women classes: Jr. 13 and under, Beginner, Intermediate, Expert, 45+ open, Pro/Open.
     * Riders will follow the same marked course to the start of all stages.
     * Riders will leave for start of first stage at 10:30 am, untimed, limited to 45 minutes.
     * Riders will only be timed from the start to the finish of each marked stage.
     * Riders will transfer between stages untimed but limited to 45 minutes.
The rider with the lowest combined stage times will be the winner of each class.

Parade Race ($10 Entry DAY OF ONLY)
     * All ages event for children.
     * Riders will be seperated by age.
     * Riders will race one lap around concrete running track at park.
     * Riders will leave starting line by age group.

Enduro Schedule:

7:30-9:30 am onsite registration, packet pick up
8:00-10:00 am Practice is open for Enduro (riders must have number plate on prior to practicing)
10:00 am Mandatory riders meeting in park
10:30 Riders leave to start of Stage 1
11:00 am Stage 1 start

Kids parade Race follows the Enduro finish (approximately 3pm)
Awards immediately follow last finisher of parade race

  Sunday, May 26th 2019

Kids Cross Country ($25 Entry)
      * Children 12 and under (child will need to be capable of completing 2-3 mile course unassisted).               
      * Each child is allowed one guardian rider on the course with them during the race.
      * Children will race one lap around a marked course.
      * Child with the fastest lap time will be the winner.
      
 Cross Country ($50 entry)

Jr. 13 and under, Beginner, Intermediate , Expert, 45+ open, Pro/Open, Single Speed

       

       * Jr. 13 and under will complete 2 laps around the marked course                                                 * Beginner class will complete 2 laps around the marked course.
       * Intermediate class will complete 3 laps around the marked course.
       * Expert class will complete 4 laps around the marked course.
       * 45+ open will complete 2 laps around the marked course.                                                         * Pro/Open will complete 5 laps around the marked course.                                                           * Single Speed will complete 3 laps around the marked course

The winner of each class will be determined by the lowest combined lap times.
