Event Description
Join My Block for a 5K run around the beautiful Marquette Park. Known for its 9-hole golf course, soccer fields, and summer barbecues, Marquette also has a rich history of activism. Most notably the civil rights marches of 1966, where Martin Luther King Jr. and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference protested housing discrimination in Chicago. Race day includes live music, a history hunt, and prizes for top runners and top fundraising teams.
Day-of Registration: Opens at 9am
Race Starts: 10am
*Participants can Walk or Run the 5k. Start time is the same.
**All participants will be chip timed.
