Gobble Gobble...It's Turkey Trot Time!
Just like the name, Get Basted; This will be the "2nd helpings" of our Turkey Trots!

Two weeks before Thanksgiving in 2011 we decided that we wanted to give back to all the participants who came out to race with us over the course of the year. Thanksgiving morning seemed to be the perfect time, and giving them a FREE race would be the perfect way to say thanks. We're continuing that tradition...If you've crossed under our finish line in any race from Dec. 1, 2018 - Nov. 22, 2019 you've earned yourself a FREE spot in any of the races.
NEW THIS YEAR...THE Get Basted Turkey Trot Race. Everything will be the same...but we're letting you race on Sunday, November 24 in Cumming, GA, if you want to.

Finisher Awards...
Yes...we'll have finisher awards, and you'll be able to get one it you want one for just $7!
Overall Awards
Each race (5K, 10K, 15K, Half Marathon) will have awards for the Top 3 finishers M/F and the Top 3 Masters Finishers M/F. These awards will be based on Gun Time.
Age Group Awards
Each race will have awards to the top 3 in each of the normal 5 year age groups (10 & under - 75+). These awards will be based on Chip Time.
Finish Line & Awards Ceremony
We'll have plenty of goodies to start your day off right. We're even working on getting some vendors to come out if you want to do some early shopping. As for the awards ceremony, it's Thanksgiving, and in the interest of time, we'll be doing awards as follows.

Overalls -- 8:45 am
Age Groups -- 9:15 am
10K
Overalls -- 9:00 am
Age Groups -- 9:30 am

Half Marathon

NOTHING is completely flat.
It's a 5K loop, so if you're running with your friends who want to run further, you'll be able to run together for the first part, and they'll take off and finish up on their own.
The further you go, the more loops you'll do. We'll have loads of entertainment along the way, so you won't event realize it's multiple laps. You'll need to finish in 3 hours (we'll keep the clock going till the last finisher comes in, but the police & aid stations will be leaving). That's a 13:45 avg pace.
We'll have Long sleeve tech shirts ($15), Long sleeve cotton ($15), and we'll be getting hoodies ($20) too this year. Just pick out what you want, and we'll get you squared away.
Grab your buddies, co-workers, family, or random strangers and put a team together. You'll get some great pictures if you all dress the same.
Best dressed group will get a prize!

It is our goal to NOT put an event cap in place...however, about 1 month prior we will need to order finisher medals. At that point, we will not be able to guarantee finisher awards to registrations coming afterwards. SO...Register early.

Blessings in a Backpack
We are conducting food drives at both the Early Bird Turkey Trot and the Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot.
Please bring your non-perishable food items on the morning of your race between 6:30 am and 7:45 am.
Representatives from Lambert High School's Blessings in a Backpack student organization will be on hand at the Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot to collect your donations. Blessings in a Backpack is a organization that focuses on feeding elementary age children on the weekends. The Cumming location is completely student led.
Multiple Sclerosis Center of Atlanta
MS is something that is close to our hearts here at Five Star NTP, so our other beneficiary will also be ..The MS Center of Atlanta.
You can join in by either making a donation, or becoming a fundraiser yourself. Anyone who raises $200 or more will be refunded their entry fee, and anyone who raises $500 or more will also receive a coupon for $25 off any future race event.
Our events are designed to be fun and for the entire family. With that in mind any competitor, spectator, parent, volunteer, or sponsor, exhibiting unsportsmanlike conduct or interfering with the positive, competitive atmosphere of the event will be asked to leave the venue and course immediately with no refunds.
**All registrations are final...we're sorry, but there are no refunds, deferrals, or transfers.
Bib Mail Out...for $2.50 (non-refundable) you can have your bib mailed straight to your front door. We'll be sending them out on Thursday the week before, and you can sleep in a few extra minutes on race morning...just show up with enough time to get in the start coral. Once you finish, you can pick up your shirt and any goodies that might also be included.
