Chautauqua Festival in the Park 5K Road Race

Come help us cap off a full week of Festival activities at the Chautauqua Festival in the Park 5K Road Race. This race will be on the streets that circle Elizabeth Brown Memorial Park in Downtown Wytheville, VA.

The Road Race kicks off the final day of events, so plan to stick around for the Car Show, Flower Show, and a full day of entertainment and activities in Elizabeth Brown Park.

5K Road Race

Date: June 22, 2019        Start Time: 8:00AM

Location: Start and Finish – 240 S. 4th Street in front of Wytheville Recreation Center

Race Day Registration: 6:30AM – 7:45AM on 4th Street

Entry Fee: $20.00 - Pre-registration: Must be received by Wednesday, June 5th
Participants may register online at Active.com (additional fee applies) or by mail.  Pre-registration guarantees a t-shirt in your size.

After Wednesday, June 5th registration is $25
Participants may register in person at the Elizabeth 
Brown Memorial Park Information Gazebo, by mail, or the morning of the race. Registration after June 5th will not guarantee a t-shirt in your size.

All running entrants will be divided into the following 25 divisions (gender/age brackets):

Gender: Male and Female

Age Brackets: 14 and Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65 and over.

Also a division of walkers will be available. Anyone can be entered as a walker. All walkers will follow the same route.  Join the family fun and participate in the event where the audience members are the performers.

We are adding a team option this year.  To create a team, you will need a team captain, team captains will be responsible for registering their teams.  Registration for a team is $25.  Teams will be made up of 5 people.  There is no age or gender limitations to teams.  Team results will be based on the combined finish times for the each team. The team with the fastest combined team time in will be crowned the Team Challenge Champions.  Teams are encouraged to collect donations.  The focus of all donations is for the sole purpose of maintaining an admission free festival for the citizens of our community.  The team that raises the most money will be awarded and named the Team Crusader Champions.  Winning team members are still eligible to win their respected categories. 

Trophies will be awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers. Medals will be awarded for top three finishers for each category. Individuals who won trophies for individual races will not receive medals.

Walkers will not receive awards; we do thank you for your participation and support.
