Event Description
This 5K course is a difficult trail run that serves up a number of steep climbs and descents over rocky trails with plenty of boulder hopping. It's a challenging run for trail runners of all levels of skill and experience.
DATE: Saturday, June 8 at 6 AM
RACE DAY CHECK-IN: Between 4:45 and 5:45 AM at the Round Mountain Visitor Center. The race starts at 6 AM sharp.
T-SHIRTS: Each participant will receive a T-shirt.
AWARDS: Trophies or medals will be awarded for the top three finishers in each division and to the overall top finishing male and female runners.
DIVISIONS: Male and female divisions. 11 and under, 12-20, 21-35, 36-50, 51-65, 66 and over
LOCATION: Round Mountain Park. 2000 E South St. Globe, Arizona. From eastbound US 60, turn left on South St at Denny's and Best Western Hotel. Go one block to Maple St. Then continue straight for one half mile on a dirt road to the park. Round Mountain Park can be found with Google Maps but NOT with Apple Maps.
PARKING: Free parking is available within easy walking distance to registration area and start of race.
WATER STATIONS: There will be two water stations. The first is at the .75 mile point located at the top of the highest point in the race near the flag. The second is at the approximate 2 mile point.
COURSE DESCRIPTION: A steep 484 foot climb in the first 3/4 of a mile, then numerous climbs and descents in rugged terrain throughout the remainder of the course.
