Event Description

The Race4Chase Kids Triathlon is open to any child ages 6-12 (age as of 12/31/19).

Check-in will begin at 7:00am.  Transition Area will open at 7:30am, and close at 8:45am. All athletes will need to be set up by 8:45am, in order to attend pre-race safety meeting and opening ceremonies on the beach beginning at 8:45am.

Ages 6-8 will complete a 50 meter lake swim, 2 kilometer bike ride, and 1 kilometer run in side Wolfe Park, beginning at 9:15am.

Ages 9 and 10 will complete a 50 meter lake swim, 3 kilometer bike ride, and 1 kilometer run inside Wolfe Park, beginning at 10:00am.

Ages 11 and 12 will complete a 100 meter lake swim, a 5 kilometer bike ride, and a 2 kilometer run inside Wolfe Park, beginning at 10:45am.

Awards will be presented at approximately 12:30pm for all top males and females in all age groups.  We are working on other fun activities to take place in the park at the completion of the race!

This race is USAT sanctioned, which allows us to provide the highest quality, safest event possible.  A list of USAT rules will be sent out to all participants prior to the race, as well as information about parking, race-prep, etc.  

Once you complete the initial registration page, you will come to a page about USAT membership information. All participants MUST have a USAT membership ($10 for a one-year membership) in order to race as per the sanction requirements.  

On-site race-day registration will NOT be available.

Thanks to a very generous sponsor, scholarships are available for participants with financial need.   Please email races@waterburyymca.org to obtain a scholarship code before your registration.

Sorry, no refunds or deferrals are available to those who register and then do not participate.  All proceeds, however, benefit the Race4Chase program and CMAK Foundation which is an extremely worthy cause!
