Event Description
Join us for the 15th Annual Tulsa McNellie's Pub Run. 2020 Special "Pandemic" Edition.
This year things are different - just like everything! But the Pub Run tradition must live on!
For 2020, the Pub Run will not be a formal timed race due to COVID-19 group gathering restrictions. Instead you will complete the course on your own or with your running/drinking buddies anytime between 10 am and 6 pm on Saturday, November 7, 2020. The course WILL NOT be closed to traffic - so participation will be on the sidewalks of downtown Tulsa and will require adherence with all traffic laws. Please do not run in groups larger than ten, to allow for social distancing. Please note that the capacity at McNellie's on Pub Run day will be limited as required by COVID restrictions, so you may have to go to Fassler Hall, Elgin Park, or the Dilly Diner for your two post run beers.
The stops at Fassler Hall, Elgin Park, and McNellie's will all be outside, as well as the post race beers at either McNellie's, Fassler Hall, Elgin Park or the Dilly Diner.
You will begin your Pandemic Pun Run at Fleet Feet Blue Dome on 2nd Street, and follow the route we will provide to Fassler Hall’s beer garden for your first beer stop of the day. Waiting for you will be a cold can of Guinness Stout! Once you have completed the stop at Fassler Hall, you will make your way following our route to Elgin Park’s patio for your second delicious can of Guinness. Finally, after finishing up at Elgin Park you will head back to McNellie's new Courtyard for your final Guinness of the “race”. And as is Pub Run tradition, you will be able to enjoy your final two (for a total of 5) cans of beer (other options in addition to Guinness will be available) back at the Pub (or at Fassler Hall, Elgin Park, or the Dilly Diner) at your leisure. If you sign up up for the non-Guinness 4 mile Pandemic Pun Run, you will just receive the two cans of beer after you finish your run - at either McNellie's, Fassler Hall, Elgin Park, or the Dilly Diner.
Each entry will include a great race shirt (these have become collectors items), a special finisher medal, and a race bib that will be worn on race day with special tabs to trade for the cans of Guinness as you make your way across downtown Tulsa. Guinness Challenge participants will receive a bib with five tabs, each good for a can, while the non-Guinness runners will get a bib with two tabs good at McNellie's (or Fassler Hall, Elgin Park, or the Dilly Diner) on race day after you complete your run.
