This class is designed specifically for women and will cover effective verbal and physical strategies for dealing with threatening situations, particularly while walking or running. Open to women only, ages 13 and older. No one under 13 years old will be admitted to this class. Long-time MIT member Darla Bolon has been teaching self-defense and personal safety classes for over 25 years. She is certified by the National Women's Martial Arts Federation and The American Women's Self-Defense Association. She teaches self-defense and personal safety classes at The Ohio State University, for the Ohio Child Welfare Training Program, and at regional and national conferences.

More: Crushing it Columbus is a workout group focused on building community in Columbus by offering #freefitness to anyone willing to just show up - rain, snow or shine (what we call #weatherproof). We meet every Wednesday at 6:15AM at Genoa Park on the stairs east of COSI for a mix of stair running and circuit exercises like pushups, situps, squats, burpees and so much more. Our workouts are fun, engaging, sometimes goofy, completely free and always accessible to all fitness levels whether someone is just starting their fitness journey or a seasoned athlete looking for a great cross-training opportunity or looking to hit their next PR. Bring a friend and #justshowup for a great workout and even greater group of folks helping to build community and make fitness accessible to all.

4:00pm-4:30pm - Jade Yoga and Wellness (https://jadeyogaandwellness.com)
We aim to make yoga easily accessible, achievable and empowering for everyone. Grounded in the needs of the community, our expertly taught classes offer clear and specific alignment instructions for all skill levels ranging from beginner to advance, at a pace that allows each individual to flow safely and easily from each pose and the opportunity to feel the benefits of the practice.
