Event Description

The Essex Running Club is providing buses for the NYC Marathon again this year departing from Fleet Feet Sports (603 Bloomfield Ave, Montclair) at 5:30 am for runners and 9:00 am for spectators. The buses will take runners directly to the starting area on Staten Island and spectators to Columbus Circle near the finish in Central Park. Free parking is available on local streets but please do not park at the parking meters close to the store.

There will only be one bus returning from New York City this year departing at 5:00 pm from Central Park West between 86th and 90th St. This time should accommodate the majority of runners but you should make alternate arrangements for the return trip if you ‘re not sure whether you will be back at the bus in time. We will have someone stationed on Central Park West to help runners after the race and to coordinate the return trip.

Bagels, bananas, and water will be provided on the bus in the morning. Additional food and beverages will be provided after the race and on the way back to Montclair. There will be a bathroom on each bus and you will be able to leave your bag on the bus.

Book your reservation early to be sure of a seat. Registration will close when we reach capacity. The cost is $20 for members of the Essex Running Club or their immediate family, $40 for non members and $15 for any children (18 and under) accompanied by an adult NO REFUNDS!.
