Run, walk, or crawl!!! Join us on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 9:00 in the Price Hardware parking lot for Hayden's Opus Run 2019!

Hayden Graves, a 2019 graduate of Atlanta High School has been given the opportunity of a lifetime and was accepted into Boston Conservatory in Boston, MA to study Music Composition and Theory! It is the nation’s oldest performing arts conservatory to offer fully accredited programs in dance, music, and theater. There are just over 350 total students, both undergraduate and graduate accepted into the music program. Only 19 of those are interviewed for Composition! Since 2014, Hayden has been composing classical music. In 2015, at the young age of 14, he began selling those units on Sheet Music Plus and J.W. Pepper; the largest sheet music retailer in the world. Although Hayden has been awarded scholarships and government funding, he is still needing financial help to pay for the remaining tuition for one year at BoCo. Hayden has a go fund me set up as well, where he offers the musical pieces he has written as a token of appreciation for donations.

OPUS DEFINITION: a separate composition or set of compositions by a particular composer, usually ordered by date of publication.

They say it takes a village! Help us get Hayden to Boston!!!  ALL proceeds go to Hayden’s college fund.

The 5k will begin in the parking lot of Price Hardware and will take participants up Holly Street, turning left onto Sportsplex Drive, winding its way through the Mattie Lanier Richey Ballpark.  Participants will then follow the same route back, returning to the parking lot of Price Hardware for the finish line!  

* Pre-registration deadline is Thursday, July 12, 2019. All pre-registered participants are guaranteed a T-shirt on race day. Remaining T-shirts will be available on a “first come, first served” basis to all late registration entries while supplies last.
