Event Description
The 25th Annual Thanksgiving Walk of Awareness for Frankfort's ACCESS Soup Kitchen and Men's Shelter will be a VIRTUAL WALK this year. Because of COVID-19 challenges registrants are encouraged to select a way to walk which best fits the needs of their family:
1. Walk "virtually" - You may walk the route distance (appx. 2.2 miles) on your exercise equipment, in your neighborhood, or a location of your choosing
2. Walk the actual route at your convenience - You may walk the usual route from First United Methodist Church, 211 Washington St., Frankfort, KY to the Capitol building, back down Capitol Avenue, then to 311 W. 2nd Street to the ACCESS facility, and back to your vehicle at a time of your choosing Please feel free to take photos of your "Walk" and submit them to the following e-mail address: admin@accesssoupkitchen.com (submission of walk photos is permission to post on the ACCESS Website and/or Facebook page).
3. Walk on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 26, 2020 - You may walk the course on Thanksgiving Day (with the understanding there will be NO ORGANIZED EVENT on that day). Again, should you walk the actual course on Thanksgiving Day please feel free to take photos of your "Walk" and submit them to admin@accesssoupkitchen.com
T-shirts are included with registration and will be available for pick-up on Tuesday, November 24 (5-7 pm) and Wednesday, November 25 (5-7 pm) at First United Methodist Church. Receive a T-shirt with registration* received on or before Monday, Nov. 9, 2020! Registrations received or made online after this point are not guaranteed a T-shirt. For those unable to pick-up T-shirts the week of Thanksgiving there will be 2 dates the following week. Please continue watching this website for those details.

Contributions from this Annual Walk of Awareness for the Hungry and Homeless help fund food, supplies, and shelter for those in need.
