Event Description

Hike for Hope 2019 offers the opportunity to come alongside a team from newhope church that is climbing Mt. Kenya and reach the peak for the first sunrise of 2020! Hike for Hope will be raising funds for the Hope Center in Thika, Kenya, offering hope to children and students living in an impoverished area as well as serving as a vocational training center for women transitioning out of human trafficking. Join this team to put hope into action through a virtual hike during the month of December by logging 36 miles (the distance they will be climbing) in your neighborhood, your gym or wherever you enjoy walking or running OR a symbolic 3.6 miles, or joining in the kid fun run on December 1st on the American Tobacco Trail in Durham (kids can walk, run, or ride bikes)!
