Our triathlon is back and better than ever! The San Fernando Valley Hansen Dam Triathlon is one of the fastest growing and most exciting events in Southern California.

Located in the San Fernando Valley of the City of Los Angeles, whether you are a novice or professional triathlete, this fun, fast and competitive event is a fantastic race to participate in.

The HANSEN DAM SPRINT & OLYMPIC Triathlons will take place on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at the Hansen Dam Aquatic Center, 11798 Foothill Blve., Lake View Terrace, CA 91342 inside the Hansen Dam Recreation Area.

The San Ferando Valley HANSEN DAM TRIATHLON is USA TRIATHLON sanctioned, and will follow USAT rules.

Event details and schedule

On Saturday, August 17, 2019 Race Registration and Packet Pick-Up will take place from 10am to 4pm at the Hansen Dam Aquatic Center.              "CASH ONLY" RACE REGISTRATION will be available. 

 Triathlon 101 10:30 am

Course Preview 11:30 am

Triathlon 101 1:00 pm

Course Preview 2:00 pm

On Sunday, August 18, 2019 RACE morning Packet Pickup will take place from 5am to 6:15am at the Hansen Dam Aquatic Center.

Triathletes Late packet pick-up 5:00am - 6:15 am

Transition open to participants only. No glass allowed 5:00am - 6:25am

 Transition will close promptly at 6:25am

Pre-Race Talk 6:15am
Olympic Triathlon First wave 6:30am
                                               Sprint Triathlon First wave 7:00am                                                   Waves every 3 minutes.

Awards 10:30 am

"CASH ONLY" RACE DAY REGISTRATION will be available.

We HIGHLY recommend all transactions take place on Saturday to avoid the crowds on race morning however the Hansen Dam Triathlon Staff is committed to all racers each day.
