Event Description

Saline Merry Mile is a 1 mile run on Michigan Avenue in downtown Saline on December 7th, 2019.  The route will start at the four corners (corner of Michigan Avenue and Ann Arbor Street), and head east to Maple Road where the runners will turn around and run back down the parade route to finish west of the four corners.  The course has a downhill start and finish! 

This race will take advantage of the fact that Michigan Avenue is already closed for the Saline Christmas Parade. The event will start at 5:00PM and will finish by 5:20PM to ensure there is no disruption to those attending or participating in the parade. It is our hope that this will bring additional people to downtown Saline for the parade.  Kids under 10 running with a paid adult will run for free (and still receive the great race t-shirt).  See multi-person registration on the registration page for details.   T-shirts guaranteed to the first 100 registered runners.  Shirt sizes must be selected by 11/22 to assure a shirt in the proper size. 

The proceeds of this race will benefit The Friends of Saline Cross Country.  In the inaugural year of the race, all funds raised will be used for the "Final Kick" to finish the endowment of the Coach Smith Scholarship fund.  Even if you cannot participate, we welcome donations via this site.  Thanks to a very generous donation from a former Saline runner, all donations will be matched.
