Event Description
The Fancy Brigade Association, in accordance with the Philadelphia Mummers Museum, present to you the inaugural Mummers 4 Miler! This is a unique race opportunity will take place in the home of the Mummers, in and around Two Street. The course is a two loop course, will start on East Moyamensing Ave towards Washington Ave. You'll make a right on Washington, heading towards South Front Street. Making the right on South Front, You'll travel down to McKean St where you'll make another right heading towards East Moyamensing again. Runners will repeat these turns again, until reaching McKean Street. Once you reach McKean a second time, runners will make a right on South 3rd Street. This is where you will run down the famed Mummers Row, passing clubs like Quaker City Stringband, Pirates Comic Club, Jokers NYA, Avalon Stringband, Satin Slipper NYB and finishing up at the Mummers Museum. With this layout, it hopefully gives people the chance to have very little overlap and fit as many people as possible. WALK OPTION: 1 Mile walk will take people the first part of the race, but make the right on Reed off Front and make the right onto 2nd finishing at the Mummers Museum.
After the race, everyone will join behind the Mummers Museum where there will be a DJ playing with some after race refreshments. Don't forget to wear your bib so you can get your first beverage complimentary of us. This afterparty is not just for runners. Everyone is invited as there will be a chance for people that did not participate to purchase food and beverages as well. This is a rain or shine event. The party will move to the Mummers Museum if the weather is not favorable.
Lets talk freebies... Everyone will receive a finishers medal and a tech long sleeve t-shirt. Awards will be present to the top 3 individuals for MALE and FEMALE as well age group awards for the top runners for MALE and FEMALE in the following: U20, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and OVER. We will also have TOP MUMMERS CLUB (runners must be current members to be able to score). Mummers teams will consist of 5 members, where the TOP THREE RUNNERS TIMES will be added together. Lowest total time wins. A club can enter more than one team but a minimum of three runners must make up one team.
There will be packet pickup for participants at the 16th and Sansom Philadelphia Runner store starting Thursday before the race.
This event directly benefits the Mummers Museum and the Fancy Brigade Association. There are no refunds for inclement weather.
