Event Description

The 12th Annual Up North Media Traverse City Turkey Trot 5K & 5 Mile is a family favorite! We start Thanksgiving day off right with two different race distances; a 5K and a 5 mile, to promote healthy lifestyles as well as give back to local charities. All runners receive a commemorative long-sleeve Turkey Trot t-shirt (60/40 blend) with registration. Invite the whole family to participate in this one-of-a-kind event starting at St. Francis High School in Traverse City, MI. Don’t forget to snag your festive turkey hat during registration!

The Up North Media Traverse City Turkey Trot has contributed more than $100,000 to many great local area causes over the past 12 years. This year's race will benefit TART Trails Boardman Lake Loop Project and local youth teams/organizations. Come join us to continue your family tradition or start a new one while supporting your community!

Children under the age of 3 in a stroller are free (but will not receive a t-shirt). Dogs are also free! 

Packet Pickup

Our traditional packet pick up will be held inside the gymnasium at St. Francis High School on Wednesday, November 27th from 3:30-6:30 pm.
Participants may also pick up their packets on race day from 7:00-8:30 AM.
Friends and family members CAN pickup your packet. 

VIP Packet pickup is offered for $7 per car/family. Please add to cart in online registration if interested. 
This is curbside packet pickup! We have your bibs & tshirts ready for you Wednesday evening 3:30-6:30pm, just pull your car in St. Francis parking lot by the 4Front Credit Union Tent!

Turkey Trot will happen rain or shine! No refunds.
