Event Description
You're invited to our 6th Annual Zombie Glow Run featuring a 2, 5 or 10k Glow in the Dark run/walk. The first 150 registrants to finish the course will receive a finishing medal and glow items along the route. This fun night benefitting shelter animals will be held Saturday, October 12th at the Santa Maria Animal Center at 548 W. Foster Road, Santa Maria from 5:00pm-8pm and features live music by Different Strings. This year’s event includes finishing medals, vendors, live music, Zombie Red Carpet, Best Costume Contests (Best Adult, Child and Pet), shelter tours, Kids Zone, Silent Auction and more! Kids 6 & Under are FREE!
In addition to a fun social event, the Zombie Glow Run is an important fundraiser in support of Saving Lives. This is reflected in SBC Animal Services Live Release Rate Achievement of well over 90% (commonly referred to as "No-Kill”) for the past 5 years; as high as 94% in 2017 & 2018. SBC Animal Care Foundation is an essential and supportive partner to make this live release rate possible. It is events like Zombie Glow Run that support this live release rate by funding critical and emergency medical care for animals that enter our local shelters injured or sick, or in need of behavioral training. - 7:30 50/50 and Silent Auction winners are announced
