Event Description

Come join us as we "Race to Stop Traffick" on October 19th, 2019 at the Bull Run Special Events Center, located in the historic Bull Run Regional Park in Centreville, Virginia. This is a family friendly 5K and 1-mile Fun Run that welcomes all ages and ability levels. All proceeds from this event will directly benefit Operation Underground Railroad (www.ourrescue.org), a non-profit organization whose mission is to rescue and rehabilitate children from human trafficking.

5K Race:

• Participant Race T-Shirt
• Gravel course in the beautiful and spacious Bull Run Special Events Center
• Prizes for top 3 male and female finishers, top 3 youth finishers (ages 16-18), top 3 youth finishers (ages 13-15), and top 3 children finishers (ages 12 and under)
• Complimentary race photos to download
• Finish line drinks and snacks
• Being a modern day abolitionist and funding the next rescue and rehabilitation mission!

1 Mile Fun Run:

• Participant Race T-Shirt
• Prizes for top 3 children (12 and under)
• Participating in a gravel loop around the beautiful Bull Run Special Events center, ending in the middle of the race day festivities
• Complimentary race photos to download
• Finish line drinks and snacks
• Being a modern day abolitionist and funding the next rescue and rehabilitation mission through O.U.R.!

Also included for all participants and their families:

• DJ Music
• Face Painting
• Carnival Games and other fun KidZone activities
• Special Guests: Quantico Marine Corp and Local Fire Department
• Cheering on the other participants as they Race to Stop Traffick
• Sign our Abolitionist board and describe why you are a modern day abolitionist
• Participate in our Raffle Booth for a chance to win awesome gift baskets

Virtual 5K Participants

For abolitionists who want to participate in the liberation efforts but aren't local, you can participate virtually! Virtual runners can register to run a 5K on your own before the race. If you post a photo of yourself from during/after your run on Instagram or Facebook with the hashtag #racetostoptraffickdc or e-mail your photo to racetostoptraffick@gmail.com, we'll mail you a t-shirt!
