Event Description
Footsteps for Fertility Foundation is a charitable organization created to raise awareness surrounding infertility, and provide grants* for those who require fertility treatments such as: in vitro fertilization, frozen embryo transfer, and intrauterine insemination through donations and strategic partnerships with fertility clinics.
These SART recognized Fertility clinic/centers have donated their services for a cycle of IVF**, in kind, to the Footsteps for Fertility Foundation, to be awarded at the 5K run/walk as Footsteps for Fertility Foundation Grants:
- Aspire Fertility
- Fertility Center of San Antonio
- Texas Fertility Center
- The Advanced Fertility Center
- UT Health San Antonio
- In addition, monies raised (funding permitting) at event will be awarded as a monetary grants from Footsteps for Fertility Foundation (typically $5,000).
The random selection process for the grants will take place directly following the 5k race. Each registrant will receive one complimentary ticket with their registration that may be entered for random selection to be awarded a Footsteps Grant for themselves, or for someone they know at the event who requires fertility treatments. Please share this with anyone you know who needs fertility treatments.
*Please note that anyone who will be applying to receive a Footsteps for Fertility Grant must fill out the online Footsteps for Fertility Foundation Grant application prior to packet pick up. (This does not apply to supporters, just couples requiring infertility treatment). The application can be found on our website under the grants tab.
**IVF Cycle donations only cover the clinic's in-house costs. Grants will not cover the cost of treatment beyond a basic IVF Cycle such as: medication, blood work, anesthesia, donor sperm, donor eggs, or adopted embryos.
Event details and schedule
The 6th Footsteps for Fertility Foundation 5 kilometer run/walk will be held at Eisenhower Park on October 25th 2019 from 6pm to 8pm. The drawing for Footsteps for Fertility *Grants will take place directly after the race. All runners, walkers, sleep-ins, children, babies and other supporters are welcome to the festivities!
Grant applicant check-in and t-shirt pickup will take place the day of the race starting at 5pm.
$35 Early registration ends at midnight October 12th 2019
$40 Late/Online registration ends 5:00pm October 24th 2019
