It’s another Zombie Infestation! What are we going to do? We are going to Walk, Run, Creep and Crawl and anything else that gets us through the GEORGIA ZOMBIE FEST 5K AND 1 MILE FUN RUN!
New this year - We will have a DJ, and there will be a Zombie Response Unit Show in the Park (Jeep Show) and there will be a Costume Contest.
Join us on Saturday Evening October 12th where you will sign in and register at Etowah River Park in Canton, GA and begin your journey. From Etowah River Park you will follow the paved path to the bridge and on through the zombie infested woods (you will literally be going over the river and through the woods.) Coming out of the woods (if you make it) you will round Hertiage Park and then it’s back through the woods, at dusk, while it’s getting dark, and there are zombies, are you getting the picture now?
We really do have nice zombies, they won’t touch or hurt you, they are just fun. This is a run that is just Scary Fun – but it is also for a serious cause. Just like Zombies, we are also fighting the battle and losing too many of our friends and family to drug overdose. Join Drug Free Cherokee in RAISING AWARENESS, BY RAISING THE DEAD. Post the run on your social media and help us get the word out.

Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup: Begins at 5:30PM
1 Mile Walk, Run, Creep or Crawl: Starts at 7PM
5K: Starts at 7:30PM
Awards for the 5K: Unique awards given to the Overall male and female, 3 deep in age groups beginning with 10 and under to 75 and over (you are so going to love these awards!)
Series Affiliation: The race is part of the 2019 Black Bag Race Series.
Timing and Results: Finish line management provided by Classic Race Services with results posted to www.classicraceservices.com, www.active.com, and www.athlinks.com.
Shirts and Goodies: Shirts are guaranteed to those who register by 10/4/19. Those registering after that date and on race day are not guaranteed a shirt or size. There will be plenty of refreshments, the zombies get thirsty.
What will I wear?: Come dressed in your favorite Zombie/Walker makeup. Safety first, make sure you are safe to participate and are not a hazard to those around you. Or come disguised as a human being and wear your regular walking/running stuff.
Other Info: In case of rain, the races will go on. Delay of the start may happen in case of severe weather in the area at race time. If severe weather continues, then the race director or local authorities may make the call to cancel the race at that time. Sorry, no refunds.
