Event Description

It's coming! The Pistol Creek Run Half and Full Marathon in Alcoa, Tennessee (near Knoxville). The 8 hour time limit ensures you'll have plenty of time to enjoy the course and still finish, even if you are walking some of it. These events will be held on USATF  and internationally certified (IAAF/AIMS) courses. The marathon is a Boston qualifier. They are hosted in conjunction with The Pistol Ultra Run, which first started in 2013 and has quickly become very popular, always filling before registration closes. The Pistol Ultra Run distances include a 50K (with relay option), 50 mile, 100K, and 100 miles. (Registration for those is here: http://ultrasignup.com/register.aspx?did=67294) So you'll get a chance to run with some really crazy ultra runners out on the course!

Runners score some great swag, get pampered by some really nice volunteers, have heated aid station support, enjoy camaraderie with plenty of other runners, and get some really cool finishers awards. This is a great race for first time and seasoned runners alike. Walkers are welcome too. We’re here to have a good time! Check out the website for all the details.
