Event Description

Do you love Girl Scout Cookies and running? Well, when the two combine you get the tastiest 5K in town, the Run For The Cookies. Join us for Girl Scout cookie samples, cookie booths to get all your cookies for season, as well as music, food, and much more! All proceeds from the event support building the next generation of female leaders in our community.

The 27th "Run for the Cookies" 5K and One Mile Run/Walk will be held on February 8, 2020 at Tallahassee Community College.  The One Mile Run/Walk begins at 8:30, and the 5K Run/Walk begins at 9:00. 

The 5K overall, masters, grandmasters, first TCC Student, first TCC Faculty/Staff, and top 3 age group winners (beginning with ages 10-14) will receive boxes of Girl Scout cookies as awards!  The team with the most finishers in the 5K will receive a case of Girl Scout cookies to share among the team members!  

One Mile awards -- Fun Station "Do It All" passes will be awarded to winners in the age groups 6 and Under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, and 15-16.  Awards will also be given to the overall Male and Female, and first place Girl Scout.  The Troop with the most Girl Scout finishers will receive a special award. The school team with the most finishers will receive a pizza party. 

Packet pickup is TBA. Race day registration/packet pickup begins at 7:30 a.m., at the race site at the Tallahassee Community College Sports Complex.

Want to help out at the race? Pull out your best volunteer skills and put them to use in various activities such as distributing water, distributing awards, timing and registration. All volunteers must be 18 and up. Email vfennell@girlscouts-gateway.org to sign up!
