Event Description

This is a same concept as a beer mile except you drink Whiskey or Tequila. Approved whiskeys include Bourbon, Scotch, Canadian etc... must be 80 proof minimum.  New this year is the Whiskey Mile Lite.  This will be a separate category and you will not be eligible for the champion award or top 5 fastest times distinction.

Here are the requirements & format. You must be 21 or order to participate. You are required to bring your own pint or half pint of Whiskey at least 80 proof (no flavor BS low proof Whiskeys). You must have a head lamp. We will have a new set up this year in the field adjacent to the canal path on Canal Run West.  We will run a 1/4 mile around the field.
The race will start with your 1st 1.5 oz. shot you will then run a 1/4 mile loop back to the table where another shot will be waiting for you. Repeat 3 more times for a total of 4 shots, 4 loops / 1 mile of running. If you spill even a drop in taking your shot you will have to run a penalty lap.
For the Whiskey Mile Lite you will drink 1/2 shots or .75 oz of Whiskey or Tequila, again no low proof options will be permitted.

Meet at the intersection of Durham Boat Dr. & Canal Run West in Washington Crossing, Pa. We will have Pizza after & no one will be permitted to drive for approx. 2 hours from the time the race ends. Please either carpool or have a DD. We will also need a few volunteers to man the shot station. You must be a BCTC member of be invited by one.
