Description:

From the Start directly in front of the Field House...Course runs thru the Victory Tunnel back to Main Campus then south along St Anthony & Kelbaugh Roads. The first 3 miles over rolling country roads; then turns right on to Eyler Valley Road climbing up into the Catoctin Mountains. If the hill doesn't take your breath away the scenery will!  The course climbs alongside a beautiful mountain stream with numerous waterfalls and vast granite outcrops.  Ferns, moss and old stone walls now abandoned from 200 years ago.  Passing the historic Eyler Chapel ( it remains off the grid) and now up Hampton Valley Road.  Passing Summit Lake runners crest the pass and begin a descent down the backside of College Mountain.  Easy running on a hard surface road careful not to fly.  Passing Rainbow Lake all wooded; all downhill.  Turning right yet again on Crystal Fountain Road rolling, mostly downhill & yet right again on Annandale Road back to campus!  Crossing the top of Mount Saint Mary's campus along University Way over the Veterans Memorial Walkway to circle around the Old Memorial Gym @ Echo Field then direct back through the Victory Tunnel & 100 yards to the Finish Line.
