Event Description

It's the big finale! The Huma Loopa Licious Fat Bike Race is presented by Northern Michigan Mountain Bike Association and Short's Brewing Company. The last race of the Short's Brewing Fat Bike Series plays out in front of 1,000 spectators at the Suds and Snow Microbrew Festival. We wrap up winter, the series and the points picture with one of the fastest, coolest races of the season.

As always the course will be groomed by NMMBA. NEW for this year, the long and short races will have separate groomed courses that overlap within Timber Ridge at the start/finish line to record each lap. The short race loop at nearly 2 miles in length, will approximate the previous years courses. The long race loop will be close to 4 miles and use some of the Timber Ridge groomed trail and some of the NMMBA groomed trail. Each race will have racers putting in as many laps as possible in 90 minutes for the Long race and 45 minutes for the Short's race. Come by the start/finish at 1:29:59, and you can keep going! Come by at 1:30:00, and you're done.

*Junior racers, 17 and under will automatically receive a $25 discount at check out. Register juniors under the appropriate race, and the discount will be applied.
