Event Description

About This Event:

First presented in 1991, the Kal-Haven Trail Run is a point to point 33.5 mile race on a "rails to trails" with a crushed limestone surface. The event begins in Kalamazoo at the Kal-Haven Trail's 10th Street trailhead and finishes in South Haven. Kal-Haven Trail Run benefits Girls on the Run of Greater Kalamazoo and Kalamazoo Area Runners.

  • Solo Registration - $60
  • 2 Person Team Registration - $40 per team member
  • 3 to 6 Person Team Registration - $35 per team member

• Race Morning, April 4 from 6:00 – 7:15 am
• • Kal-Haven Trail on 10th Street (where the race starts)  

Event Information:

Solo Runners – 7:00 am start

• Kalamazoo to South Haven, MI 33.5 miles

• Solo runners may have up to 3 drop bags:
• • #1 – Gobles
  • #2 – Lacota
  • #3 – South Haven (finish line) – all drop bags will be transported to South Haven after solo runners have passed through the aid station.

2 Person Teams – 7:15 am start

• Teams with fewer than 6 runners are still required to complete each leg as detailed below.

The Fine Print

• All registrations are final, no refunds or deferments will be given.
• To guarantee a t-shirt, registration must be received by 3/18/20.
  • Solo Runners – limited to 150 participants (age 18 & up)
  • 2 Person Team – limited to 45 teams
  • 3 to 6 Person Teams – limited to 80 teams

• Important note for 3 to 6 person COED relay teams
• • A coed 3-4 person team must have a minimum of one female runner
  • A coed 5-6 person team must have a minimum of two female runners 

• Team member substitutions: The team captain may make changes to their teams online up to midnight on 4/5/2019.

Tee Shirts:

To be guaranteed a Tee Shirt, registration must be received by 3/18/20.  Extras will be ordered but available on a "First Come, First Serve" basis.
