Event Description

Lions, Tigers, and...THE EASTER BUNNY?!?!? That's right! Join us on April 5, 2020 for the 4th annual Hippity Hop 5K at the Potter Park Zoo! This is the largest fundraiser for the Child Benefit Fund.  The Child Benefit Fund is a nonprofit organization primarily dedicated to meeting the needs of at-risk youth and families working with the family division of the Ingham County Circuit Court. Funds are used to buy clothing, pay sports fees, camp costs, emergency needs, and holiday gifts for approximately 250-300 children per year.

5K Run/Walk: The 5K is chip-timed on a beautiful, scenic, and accurate course along the Lansing River Trail.  All participants will receive a finisher's medal and t-shirt.  There are also awards for the top 3 finishers in each age group.

Egg Race:  Children 12 and under can hunt for eggs, get a t-shirt, and meet the Easter Bunny.  There will be over 1,000 candy and toy-filled eggs in a traditional Easter Egg Hunt format.  There will be two age groups and a minimum amount of eggs for each registered child.  See if you can find the golden eggs for a special prize! The Egg Race will take place at the Tiger's Den Pavilion. 

As part of the registration, each participant will get FREE ENTRANCE into the Potter Park Zoo the day of the event.

Family pricing: Have other friends or family wishing to participate? Register with 3 or more people and receive a discount of $3 per registrant.  Valid for the 5k run/walk.

Packet Pickup: Saturday, April 4th at Playmakers from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM

Race Day Registration and packet pickup: Sunday, April 5th starting at 10:00 AM

The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be posted during the race and online at Playmakers.com.
