Event Description

Welcome to the 9th Annual "Back To The Beach" races. We hope you come out again for a fun morning of running and fellowship as we help support the Detroit Chapter of Medals4Mettle.  By running with us you will also help to support many Trail Improvements to keep running fun for us all and also help many other local children's charities.

Race day is also the perfect time to bring out any half marathon, marathon, triathlon and ultra finisher medals you would like to donate to the program.
Big News we are increasing the cap on the Half Marathon - but sign up early so we can see you on race day!

To ensure all runners have an enjoyable race we will once again use a wave start.  This was one of the favorite aspects of our prior races that everyone appreciated.  The half marathon medal will again be custom made, beach themed and will feature the now famous SUN GUY!  Once again the medal will leave you Spinning for 2019!!!  And YES the Cold Towels are coming back on the half marathon course and at the finish line!  Again for the 2019 race, all 5K and 10K runners will receive a finisher’s medal that features our Famous Sun Guy too!!

So know that Hundred's of the Best Volunteers ever are working hard to make your race as fun as it can be.  We know you will have a BLAST and look forward to seeing you run “BACK TO THE BEACH” on Sunday May 19th 2019.  Thanks Everyone. 

Event details and schedule

Please note we do not have any race day registration.  Each race has a cap so we suggest you register early to ensure you get in to the race you Love!  

On race day packet pickup starts at 6:30 AM. 

The Half Marathon goes off at 7:30 AM.  The 10k will start at 8:35 and the 5k race will begin at 10:00 AM.  All 3 races will be sent out in waves to ensure you have the best race ever!
