Event Description
More than 2,800 participants from all around Austin have participated in our annual event since 2008!
This event offers a challenging rolling hills USA Track & Field certified chip timed course to all participants, while they run supporting a great cause helping Alzheimer’s. All participants receive a finisher's medal and Dri-Fit T-Shirt included with their registration. We do individual awards: 1st 2nd 3rd in all male and female age divisions; Elite 5K Award (Top Individual Overall), Top Male and Female Overall, Masters Male and Female, and Community Impact Award (team with most participants).
Since 2009 we have donated over $55,296 dollars in donations to support a disease that impacts 5.2M Americans in the United States and with our efforts of helping families in Central Texas facing Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Our 2019 gift was an all-time high record for our donation of $13,750! Our proceeds directly benefit Alzheimer’s Texas Chapter | EIN: 742286105.
Event details and schedule
We request that you arrive early on race day by 7:45 am to allow yourself time for parking, warm up, and visit all of our vendors attending the race. This is a USATF certified chip timed course.
Our 1K starts at 9:00 am and 5K at 9:30 am promptly. Please note Austin Police Department will start directing traffic around 8 am to alternate parking routes, so thus the recommendation on arrival by 7:45 am
Awards
We will promptly begin awards ceremony afterwards for placement medals in age categories for both male and female. The following individual awards will be given: Elite 5K Award (Top Individual Overall), Top Male and Female Overall, Masters Male and Female, and Community Impact Award (team with most participants). Please stay after you complete the race.
Finishers Medal
All Finishers Medal should be picked up once you complete the race at our designated table or given to you by our volunteers shortly after the finish line.
Onsite Registration
We will offer onsite registration from 7 am to 8:30 am. The onsite registration fee will be $40, so we recommend online to avoid the $5 late fee.

Participants can pickup race packets from 8 am to 7 pm from the St. James Missionary Baptist Church. The address is 3417 E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd | Austin, TX 78721
Packet Pickup Saturday March 28, 2020
Onsite pickup is available from 7 am to 8:45 am. Please look for the table marked Race Packet Pickup. We will promptly close race packet pick up at the designated time in order to allow our staff to participate.
